"IT" When it comes to the sport of Cheerleading March 8, 2006 carl womack (north carolina) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have a subscription. And the reason why I have one is for the fact that the magazine is a highly sought after collectible as is Vogue, Seventeen, and Sports Illustrated For Kids, (all of which can be found on Amazon.com ,. As for the contents, well, if you're into cheerleading in general, you'll want and need to read its contents. It covers the major competition results and schedules for upcoming events. It has fashion news, how to's for various routines, and bios on select cheerleaders and squads. It has tons of photos, and unlike some magazines on the market today which seem to be only aimed at publishing articles about sex, American Cheerleader is dedicated to the sport and ART of cheerleading. It is mainly aimed at cheerleaders in high school and college, but has a Junior cheerleader section. From time to time it features bios on celebrities who've cheered, and keeps up with current news concerning the world of cheerleading. If you want to keep up with what is going on in cheerleading, you'll want to order a subscription to American Cheerleader!!!
BEST mag for cheerleaders!!! January 13, 2005 starvingartist60 (TX) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
Notice that all cheerleaders who have "reveiwed" this mag gave it 5 stars, and the other people who aren't or hate cheerleaders gave it one, naming it trash. Well if I was rating a basketball mag, I wouldn't give it a high score either!!!
***Why would you rate/ buy this magazine if you weren't a cheerleader in the first place?!? If you hate cheerleading, don't get the magazine!
*I cheer for 2 high school & All-star competitive teams
Geared to squad members, not coaches December 31, 2004 curvynovelsdotinfo (Maine, USA) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
but I still enjoy flipping through its pages along with my girls, and find the articles on cheers, chants and stunts to be most helpful.
Just ok November 5, 2004 Poodley Beagle Ellis 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I got a subscription for my birthday and I won't be renewing it. Every once in a while you get an interesting article but a lot of it is kinda boring and looks like it comes from a doctor, not a magazine writer. I wouldn't reccomend it for people that aren't CHEERLEADERS (I am on a middle school pom squad) because you can't relate to it as well.
GREEEEEEEEAAAAATTTTTT! ! ! March 2, 2004 Mr J Clowes (UK) 1 out of 9 found this review helpful
This great magazine is really great, truly one of the great publications of our great time. It holds (greatly) a great amount of great information, and best of all, doesn't grate at all.
